Women Who Shake the World

Check out 150 Women Who Shake The World to celebrate extraordinary women from all over the world. For these illuminations, the Daily Beast and Newsweek are collaborating to spotlight contemporary women who are constant in their brilliant progress of achieving equality, triumph, safety, and excellence. This celebration of women brought me back of my favorite Alix Olson performance poem titled, “Women Before Me.” Watch a video of her performance here.  Notice the intensity of articulation with every name Alix commits and the exploration of memory as child protester with mom nearby.
